Our History
Calipso The Dive Shop Lanzarote is Lanzarote’s number ONE scuba diving centre for the qualified diver and for scuba diver recreational training. A PADI 5* centre with Trip Adviser certificate of excellence 5 years in a row. We are also one of the few Nitrox centres on the island, offering FREE fills to all our divers.
The Dive Shop is located in the beautiful resort of Costa Teguise, on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Situated only 15 minutes from Arrecife airport, and 20 minute drive to some of the best diving in Lanzarote.
We are the only PADI 5 * dive centre in Costa Teguise and a BSAC centre of Excellence surrounded by a selection of great bars and restaurants. We are also within walking distance of all the hotels and apartment complexes within the area.

From our modern facility, The Dive Shop can offer full scuba diver training from beginner to Instructor, with all specialities being catered including: Nitrox, Deep, Search & Recovery and Boat to mention but a few.

Hayley
BSAC Dive Leader and PADI Rescue Diver
Hayley started diving in 2018 and quickly found a love for the hobby quickly becoming a PADI Rescue Diver and deep diver, she is also a BSAC dive Leader. A keen UK diver she is equally at home in warmer waters. Thailand being a favourite.
Pete
BSAC Open Water Instructor
Pete is a BSAC instructor and has been diving for 14 years. He is also Dive Officer of the local BSAC branch in the UK.
Currently crossing over to an SSI and PADI instructor.
A big advocate of UK diving, making full use of his advanced twinset qualification. “People often ask me where the best place is in the world to dive is? I think the UK takes some beating with its massive diversity and challenging conditions”
Ute Allart
PADI Dive Master
Ute Is from Belgium and speaking fluent in English, German and French. Having dived in these waters from 2012 she knows the reef blind folded. A true Credit to our team

Dive Instructor
Emma’s birthplace is Italy, speaking Fluent English, Italian and Spanish she brings 16 years of experience with her. A resident of Lanzarote for 6 years now she truly knows the underwater world here, and the fish by names. In her spare time, she enjoys diving lol! her favorite being night diving and Dawn dives. She seems to have a great memory of fish species and plant life, she is more than happy to share this information with you.
